SUMMARY:Turkey Point Light Station
DESCRIPTION:Their season\, this year\, began May 1st and run through the end of October. The Lighthouse is open to climbers on weekends from 10 AM to 2 PM (weather permitting). The gift shop is open from 10 AM to 2 PM. There is no charge to view the Chesapeake Bay from our lantern room. The staircase in the lighthouse is open to climbers who can reach the metal handrail. Donations are gratefully accepted. \nThe Turkey Point Mission Statement is….. \n\n\n\nTo work with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Elk Neck State Park staff to maintain the Turkey Point Lighthouse and oil house. \n\n\n\n\nIncrease public awareness and educate current and future generations concerning the history of Turkey Point Light Station and the keepers of the light. \n\n\n\n\nRaise funds to rebuild the Keeper’s House and the bell tower and operate them as a part of a living museum. \n\n\n\nProtect the historic integrity of the Light Station while protecting the environment.

This FREE event has tons of fun for ALL AGES and lovers of all things magical. Questers earn gems to exchange for raffle tickets towards the Unicorn Quest Mystic Prize Basket by participating in activities and making purchases with Main Street Merchants and Outside Vendors. Come celebrate all things magical at Unicorn Quest! \n\nSponsored by Grunge Muffin Designs\, Twisted Vine Wedding & Event Florals\, Author Jamie Guiberson (& Muggles the Pony). \n\nRegistration is NOT required\, but if you do\, you get extra raffle tickets the day of the event! Register by Clicking Here (Closes August 15th).\nParticipants who register by August 15th will each earn 1 free raffle ticket for the Mystic Prize Basket. Participants may register individually or as a group (all names must be submitted on the form). The names of the main registrant will be on a printed list.
